Maison Christian Dior
Eleanor was invited by Dior to be their instore Paper Artist, creating perfumable origami pieces to celebrate the launch of their Toile de Jouy range. At a special opening at House of Fraser in Glasgow, Eleanor crafted pieces which were scented with the signature Maison Christian Dior frangrances.
You probably know the Toile de Jouy pattern by sight, if not by name. The red-and-white or blue-and-white design features ink-like vignettes of trees, farmers gleaning, hot air balloons, horse-drawn carriage rides, and fishing.
Toile de Jouy originated in Jouy-en-Josas, a town outside of Paris, in the late 1700s. The pattern adorned the walls of Christian Dior’s first boutique in Paris.
