Dundee Science Centre - Peek Boxes
We were commissioned to create a series of Peek Boxes for the Dundee Science Centre in Partnership with the Baby and Child Lab at the University of St Andrews. This brand new exhibition is designed to encourage ‘joint attention’ where a caregiver and a child can look inside the boxes and point out objects and animals together to help children learn and explore. Below are the final designs for each of the 3 Peek Boxes.
All the elements inside the Peek Boxes were hand crafted and designed to be as playful and eye-catching as possible. Each box has a different theme - under the sea, under the ground and a picnic on the forest floor. In the boxes, we included lots of animals, insects and sea life that are native to Britain.
Behind the Scenes!
Behind-the-scenes videos provide really engaging content for social media in addition to the finished animations.
For this series, we created a Reel and a Tiktok showing how we made these magical Peek Boxes. In addition, we posted regular Native Content from the project in the form of Instagram posts and stories.
We can create Behind-the-scenes social media content that is optimised for each social media platform, for example, vertical 9:16 videos for use on Instagram Reels and Tiktok.
Finally, we created a number of custom illustrations to be used on the signage for the Peek Boxes encouraging children to search for and count different elements inside.
